Anima-August Return (C2233-Brook)!

<01-08-2020> C2233-Brook (M), around one month old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 16th November 2019, after a call reporting that one kitten was found abandoned in a box. He was sent to a clinic and was then welcome at our Cat's Paradise. Brook would later be adopted on 14th May 2020. Recently, however, the adopter has complained about his behavior and it seems that he wasn’t able to fully adapt to his new home successfully. C2233-Brook was returned to Anima today. Anima-August Sad News (C1236-Carr)!

<01-08-2020> C1236-Carr (M), around five months old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 10th July 2016, following a call reporting that four cats were in Pou Tai Un Temple but some people in the area were not friendly and did not allow them to be fed. C1236-Carr and three other cats were then rescued and sent to our Cat’s Paradise. Found very skinny and de-hydrated on 30th July 2020, he was sent to a clinic for checking. He was tested positive for Pancreatitis. After a couple days, we were informed today by the clinic that he has passed away. R.I.P. our friend! Never abandon your pets! Anima-August Sad News (415-Kira)!

<01-08-2020> On 20th May 2020, it was reported by our handler that 415-Kira couldn’t stand up and was showing lack of appetite. She was sent to a clinic for consultation on the following day. Blood test results revealed urinary tract infection and X-rays showed that she had bone spurs. Her condition worsened very quickly and, despite all medical care, she progressed from limping to paralysis. She also suffered with the several pressure sores on her body. Weak and in constant need of force feeding, her health deterioration was irreversible and her life seemed to have become too distressing. After discussing with the vet, and approved by two Anima board members, she was euthanized today in no pain conditions. The last decision is always from the President of Anima and it is always very hard to make! R.I.P. our friend! Never abandon your pets! Anima–July Adoption (C2369, C2370)!

<31-07-2020> Hercules and Hulk were adopted by Ms. Man, today! C2369-Hercules (M) and C2370-Hulk (M), both three months old by the time, were rescued by Anima on 7th July 2020, after a referral case from Masdaw reporting that two kittens were found caged at Hac Sa Beach near Fernando’s Restaurant. Anima reported to I.A.M immediately. They were previously rescued by I.A.M on 25th July 2020, but later both were welcome to our Cats’ Paradise! Hercules and Hulk were adopted by Ms. Man, today! Anima–July Rescue (SPP2299-Kinki)!

<31-07-2020> SPP2299-Kinki (F), around seven months old and from our Special Protection Program (SPP) under Ms. Chan’s responsibility, was rescued by Anima on 31st July 2020, after a call from Mr. Wong reporting that he had an accident hitting a dog, SPP2299-Kinki, with his car in Largo da Ponte de Coloane. He asked us help. Anima staff went to the site with two volunteers and rescued the dog into a safe zone. SPP2299-Kinki was immediately sent to a clinic. X-Ray results revealed that her pelvis is fractured. According to the vet, it can heal without any surgery. Anima-July Rescue (B162-Myra)!

<30-07-2020> B162-Myra was rescued by Anima on 30th July 2020, after Mr. Anand brought over a baby crested myna bird to our Dogs’ Shelter. Mr. Anand reported that he just picked it up on Estr. do Istmo because he couldn’t see the mother or nest around. The baby bird, B162-Myra looks healthy but keeping opening his mouth and waiting to be fed. B162-Myra was sent to Macau Kennel as they have space and qualified persons to feed him until he can be able to survive on its own in the wild. Thanks, Mr. Anand! Please help us to help them! <29-07-2020> B161-Gilly was rescued by Anima on 28th July 2020, after a person brought over a bird that he picked up near Coloane to our Dogs’ Shelter, as the bird seemed to have his leg injured and couldn’t fly. Gilly was immediately sent to a clinic for treatment. He was diagnosed with paralysis and he stayed in the clinic under medical care. <27-07-2020> Today, 38 people visited us, of which four were students from The International School of Macau who came to our Dog Shelter to do volunteer work and walk our friendly four-legged companions! Anima–July Foster Family (C2362-Shannon)!

<27-07-2020> Shannon was fostered by Ms. Pamela, today! C2362-Shannon (F), around one month old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 2nd July 2020, after being brought by Mr. Peter, who reported that two days before he met a cat mother with four kittens near Jockey Club. They were scared and all ran off except one kitten. The kitten, C2362-Shannon, was left behind as both of her hind legs couldn’t move and seemed paralyzed. She was sent to a clinic for an x-ray. Results showed some abnormal vertebrae and it could be caused by malnutrition or infection. C2362-Shannon recovered and she has been in our Cats’ Paradise. Shannon was fostered by Ms. Pamela, today!
