Anima–June Rescue and Return (SPP2370-Sai Ngan Mui)!

<12-06-2021> SPP2370-Sai Ngan Mui (F), a dog around one year old, is under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since June 12th, 2021. She is living under Ms. Chan’s responsibility in a construction site in Cotai. To prevent her from getting pregnant, Sai Ngan Mui was rescued today and sent to a clinic, in order to be neutered. Spayed and recovered, Sai Ngan Mui was returned to the original site after surgery. These efforts are part of Anima’s commitment to reduce the number of stray dogs in Macau. Never Abandon your pets! Anima–June Rescue (2372-Wong Choi Mui)!

<12-06-2021> 2372-Wong Choi Mui (F), a 16-year-old dog, was rescued by Anima on 12 June 2021, following a call from Ms. Ieong, an Anima Board Member, reporting that a skinny dog was found wandering on the road of Praia Do Manduco. Our team was mobilized and noticed the dog was microchipped. IAM was informed and assisted us contacting the owner. The owner, however, claimed to be unable to continue taking care of the dog due to financial reasons. Wong Choi Mui was diagnosed with Mammary Gland Tumor and Pyometra last year and has, inclusively, received surgery. Wong Choi Mui was then welcomed into our Dogs’ Shelter. <11-06-2021> C2584-Bubu (F) and C2585-Bulu (F), both around six months old, were rescued by Anima on 8th June 2021, after a call from IAM reporting that there is no more space to rescue street cats. Anima–June Rescue (SPP1713-Hac Chai II)!

<08-06-2021> SPP1713-Hac Chai II, an old dog from our Special Protection Program (SPP) and living in the kennel, was rescued by Anima on 8th June 2021, after a call from one of our handlers reporting that she found him peeing blood. SPP1713-Hac Chai II was sent to a clinic. Blood test results and an X-ray showed anemia and bladder problems. Hac Chai II will be hospitalized in the vet clinic for treatment. Anima–May Rescue (SPP1902-Farley)!

<28-05-2021> SPP1902-Farley (M), around four years old, has been under our SPP program since the 23rd June 2017, under Mr. Alex’s responsibility. Today, it was reported to Anima that Farley is not eating, and he is getting skinny. SPP1902-Farley was diagnosed with a bacterial infection (Ehrlichia canis).
