ANIMA –Sad News of February (317-Trufa)!

<21-02-2017> Trufa has left us on 21st February 2017! 317-Trufa (F), that should be today around 10 years and seven months old, was adopted by Claudia on 28 May 2014. Claudia was her former foster parent from 22nd November 2013! Unfortunately when she was out, as foster parent, Trufa got caught by a car after escaping from her family, when they were walking her in the streets of Macau. Trufa was fighting for her life in Macau, after the accident, as she was not able to pee and poo by herself and she had to submit to daily treatment of around two to three hours of physiotherapy plus a daily bath. Claudia adopted Trufa after the accident. This was a courageous decision of care and love! As she was in Portugal, she assumed a very difficult decision to have her back. Anima-Colegio Mateus Ricci Visited Us!

<25-02-2017> Today, 11 people visited us, three of them were from Colegio Mateus Ricci! They came to play and work for us! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2016, we had 7,519 visitors an increase of 30.4% as compared with 5,768 in 2015! 128 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 85.8%! This year, up to January 2017, Anima received 788 visitors, an increase of 22% as compared with the same period of last year! Anima–February Adoption (R031-Toast)!

<25-02-2017> Toast was adopted by Ms. Maria Ana on 25th February 2017! R030-Buns (M) and R031-Toast (M), were rescued by Anima on 11th October 2016, when they were around two years old, after a call from Ms. Yu reporting that two rabbits were found near the pedestrian bridge next to Casa Funeraria Kiang Wu. Anima–February Adoption (C1268-Beckam)!

<25-02-2017> Beckam was adopted by Mr. Ma on 25th February 2017! C1268-Beckam (M), was rescued by Anima on 25th August 2016, when he was around two years old, after a call from Ms. Gina referring that a lady Ms. Rebecca asked if we could collect one cat to Anima. Ms. Rebecca used to feed three cats in Povoacao de Mong Ha, one of them was adopted, one passed away and the remain one was Beckam. As there was a guy always using infrared light to play with cats we decided to keep him for safety. Beckam was collected to Anima and checked by our vet. He has stayed with us until now. Anima–February Adoption (C1378-Ramen)!

<25-02-2017> Ramen was adopted by Mr. Ieong on 25th February 2017! C1376-Udon (F), C1377-Soba (F), C1378-Ramen (M) and C1379-Somen (M), were rescued by Anima on 8th January 2017, when they were around one month old, after a call from Mr. Iong reporting that he used to feed a female cat but the cat was bitten by a dog and died few days ago. The female cat left four kittens and Mr. Iong didn’t know how to take care of them. Udon and Ramen were fostered temporarily by our cat supervisor Connie, Soba and Somen were fostered temporarily by our assistant supervisor Effie, as they needed milk feeding. Anima–February Abandonment and Return (1843-Furby)!

<25-02-2017> 1843-Furby (M), was rescued by Anima on 1st February 2017, when he was around two months old, after a call from Mr. Lok reporting that a puppy was found alone hiding under a motorcycle near the Mercado Municipal da Taipa. Our shelter was full but we had no choice than to keep him as Furby was too young to survive by himself on the street. He was full of fleas and after quarantine was going to be socialized with other puppies. Furby was adopted on 7th February 2017. However, we were informed by the adopter that they wanted to return Furby as he ate stool and he destroyed everything in her apartment. Furby is now staying with us again. An adoption is a serious decision! Please do it with responsibility! Never Abandon your pet! Abandoning a pet should be a crime! Please Adopt and Never buy! Rescue and Temporary Accommodation (SPPC1183)!

<24-02-2017> Three kittens, SPPC1179-Dabria, SPPC1180-Dada and SPPC1181-Davian, on the time all around one month old, and two male cats, SPPC1182-Dayton, on the time around two years old, and SPPC1183-Fatty (M), on the time around six years old, were rescued by Anima under our Special Protection Program (SPP) on 29th April 2016, through Michele. They live somewhere in Taipa and Michele is responsible for them. They were checked and dewormed. SPPC1179-Dabria, SPP1180-Dada and SPPC1181-Davian had an infection in the eyes and Michele took care of them. SPPC1182-Dayton had cat flu and stayed in Anima B14 area, temporarily for the treatment. SPPC1183-Fatty received the first vaccination and went back to his former place. Today Fatty was brought to Anima again as he has a flea infestation. Rescue and New Cats Under SPP (SPPC1431, SPPC1432)!

<24-02-2017> SPPC1431-Jaxson (M), with an estimated age of five years old, together with SPPC1432-Ginger III (F), with an estimated age of three years old, now under our Special Protection Program (SPP), were rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 24th February 2017, somewhere in Taipa. Jaxson was castrated by our vet today and is staying in our Cat’s Paradise. Ginger III has severe Stomatitis and she is under medication and observation in our vet area. Thanks Michele! Abandonment, Cooperation Anima-IACM (1719, 1722)!

<23-02-2017> SPP1710-Mui Chui II (F), was rescued by Anima on 23rd April 2016, when she was around around 1.5 years old, after a call from Ms. Ah Peng informing that she was found pregnant somewhere in Coloane. An ultrasound showed that the fetus were already approx. seven weeks old. So we have decided for keeping the puppies! 1719-Kennis and 1722-Kassie together with 1718-Kimon, 1720-Kuni, 1721-Konya, 1723-Komie, 1724-Kolm, 1725-Kulee and 1726-Kerin were born on 11th May 2016. Kennis and Kassie were adopted on 27th August 2016. However, we were informed by the adopter that her landlord doesn’t allow her to have pets in the apartment. Kennis and Kassie were delivered to Macau Kennel by the adopter. By the rules of our cooperation with IACM, we were informed of this abandonment and we have collected them back to Anima already.
