Anima-October Sad News (SPP2276-Moana)!

<09-10-2020> SPP2276-Moana (F), around three years old by the time, is under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 25th May 2020, under Mr. Ip’s responsibility in Ka-Ho Workshop. During dog feeding yesterday, our rescue team reported that SPP2277-Eeyore, also under our Special Protection Program (SPP) in the same place has skin problem on his back, while SPP2276-Moana was getting skinny. As the worker who can get hold of both dogs is only working today, our vet went there to check both dogs. SPP2276-Moana was found dead already when Anima arrived, with a lot of saliva with blood stain in the mouth area and poo with pure blood. It is suspected poison or internal hemorrhage due to other diseases. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-October Sad News (B172-Dalila)!

<08-10-2020> B172-Dalila (F), an adult dove, was rescued by Anima on the 7th October 2020, after one of our staff, Mr. Danilo, reporting that she was found inside of one pen full of dogs and unable to fly. B172-Dalila was sent to a clinic and she stood there during overnight under medical care. Unfortunately, Anima was contacted by the clinic reporting that B172-Dalila was not improving, and she passed away today. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-October Sad News (C1574-Wendi)!

<02-10-2020> C1574-Wendi (F) and C1575-Wolf (F), around two years and five years old by the time, respectively, were rescued by Anima on the 3rd June 2017, after a call from Ms. Sandy, informing that she rescued them in Guia where she used to feed cats, but the cats there were being poisoned. She asked us to help. They were checked by our vet and de-wormed. C1574-Wendi was spayed and welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Recently, her condition was getting worst due to her respiratory problems. Medication was not enough to help Wendi improving because secondary effects. Wendi was suffering already for long time. After discussing with the vet, and approved by tow Anima board members, she was euthanized today in no pain conditions. <30-09-2020> C2398-Ludwig (M), around 4 months old, was rescued by Anima on 30th September 2020, after he run over by a vehicle in Est. de Seac Pai Van near the 13 Hotel. Anima-September Sad News (613-Bruce)!

<27-09-2020> 613-Bruce (F) was in our shelter for almost ten years. Her condition deteriorated steadily after the first signs of health issues, when she started to get thinner. Further examination revealed anemia and early signs of kidney problems. Veterinary doctors also suspected that she could suffer of gastrointestinal disorders, intestinal tumor or Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She was hospitalized in a private clinic for several weeks without encouraging results, despite all efforts. Today, we were informed that Bruce passed away in the clinic. R.I.P., our friend! Anima–September Sad News (C1539-Scout)!

<11-09-2020> C1538-Sanna (F) and C1539-Scout (M), around eight months and two years old, respectively, were rescued by Anima on the 18th May 2017, after a call from IACM, asking us to help keeping them in Anima as the kennel has no more space for other rescues. They had microchip, were neutered, properly vaccinated and welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Recently, C1539-Scout was not eating much, losing weight, and started to be dehydrated. He was sent to a clinic, where he stood under treatment. According to the vet, he was getting worst and suffering day by day. Today, Anima was informed that C1539-Scout died in the clinic. Anima-September Sad News (C2135-Icarus)!

<07-09-2020> C2135-Icarus (M), around one year old by the time, was rescued on the 12th June 2019 from the kennel due to lack of space and he was welcomed in our Cats’ Paradise! In August, Icarus was getting skinny and anemic with dry discharge on his face. Blood test results showed positive for Feline Coronavirus (FCoV) and medication was prescribed. Recently, C2135-Icarus was sent to a clinic where they suspect that he had Feline Infection Peritonitis (FIP). He came back to our Cats’ Paradise and started the treatment with medication. However, C1754- Icarus started to be lethargic, lost appetite and having difficulty breathing today. He was sent to the clinic again for closely observation, but Anima was informed, later that C1754- Icarus passed away. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-September Sad News (C1754-Fairfax)!

<02-09-2020> C1751-Faas (M), C1752-Faddy (M), C1753-Fabienne (F), C1754-Fairfax (M), C1755-Farah (F), C1756-Fedora (F), C1757-Feri (M), C1758-Femke (F) and C1759-Feray (F), were rescued by Anima on 10th November 2017, after a call from IACM reporting that they don’t have enough space for the cats. Since 2019, Fairfax has medical history of kidney problems, being anemic and having severe infections sometimes. For long time, he has been under subcutaneous fluids and supplements or medication. C1754-Fairfax passed away in our Cats’ Paradise. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-August Sad News (359-Titan)!

<28-08-2020> 359-Titan (M) is one of Anima’s old dogs in our Dog’s Shelter. Recently, 359-Titan's hindlegs were a bit swollen, refused to eat and later he had difficulty breathing. He was sent to a clinic for consultation. Medical exams’ results revealed that 359-Titan had a pericardial effusion. According to the vet, he has a heart tumor and there is no cure for it. After, consultation and medical prescription he returned to our Dogs’ Shelter to start the treatment. Today, 359-Titan passed away in Anima. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets!
