Anima-August Sad News (C1236-Carr)!

<01-08-2020> C1236-Carr (M), around five months old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 10th July 2016, following a call reporting that four cats were in Pou Tai Un Temple but some people in the area were not friendly and did not allow them to be fed. C1236-Carr and three other cats were then rescued and sent to our Cat’s Paradise. Found very skinny and de-hydrated on 30th July 2020, he was sent to a clinic for checking. He was tested positive for Pancreatitis. After a couple days, we were informed today by the clinic that he has passed away. R.I.P. our friend! Never abandon your pets! Anima-August Sad News (415-Kira)!

<01-08-2020> On 20th May 2020, it was reported by our handler that 415-Kira couldn’t stand up and was showing lack of appetite. She was sent to a clinic for consultation on the following day. Blood test results revealed urinary tract infection and X-rays showed that she had bone spurs. Her condition worsened very quickly and, despite all medical care, she progressed from limping to paralysis. She also suffered with the several pressure sores on her body. Weak and in constant need of force feeding, her health deterioration was irreversible and her life seemed to have become too distressing. After discussing with the vet, and approved by two Anima board members, she was euthanized today in no pain conditions. The last decision is always from the President of Anima and it is always very hard to make! R.I.P. our friend! Never abandon your pets! Anima-July Sad News (B161-Gilly)!

<29-07-2020> B161-Gilly was rescued by Anima on 28th July 2020, after a person brought over a bird that he picked up near Coloane to our Dogs’ Shelter, as the bird seemed to have his leg injured and couldn’t fly. Gilly was immediately sent to a clinic for treatment. He was diagnosed with paralysis and he stayed in the clinic under medical care. Today, Anima was informed that B161-Gilly passed away in the clinic. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-July Sad News (B160-Bun Bun)!

<27-07-2020> B160-Bun Bun, a baby dove, was rescued by Anima on 27th July 2020, after a call from Ms. Christine reporting that Bun Bun was found on the road of Rua de Bragança and he was unable to fly. Bun Bun was immediately sent to a clinic. He would be hospitalized until he recovered. However, today Anima was informed that B160-Bun Bun passed away in the clinic because he got too weak and couldn’t eat. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–July Sad News (B156-Suli)!

<26-07-2020> B156-Suli was rescued by Anima on 9th July 2020, following a call by a lady reporting that she picked up a baby bird near MGM Cotai on the way to work. She reported having seen a bird nest nearby, but inaccessible. Our Rescue team sent Suli directly to a clinic for treatment and it was reported in the same afternoon that Suli was still active and with good appetite. The next day, however, we were informed that he was still unable to survive in the wild and had to stay hospitalized for a longer period. Unfortunately, the clinic informed us today that B156-Suli has passed away of unknown cause. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! July Rescue and Sad News (B157, B158, B159)!

<23-07-2020> B157-Miki (F), was rescued by Anima on 23rd July 2020, after being reported by our staff that a common dove, B156-Miki, was found injured inside our shelter, at the same place where her two babies, B158-Milo and B159-Mila, were found dead in their nest. B157-Miki was sent to a clinic. Miki had a very big fracture on her leg, an infected wound unable to heal on its own and she was suffering. After discussing with the vet, and approved by two Anima board members, she was euthanized in no pain conditions. The last decision belongs to the President of Anima and it is always very hard to make it! R.I.P. my friends! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-July Sad News (C1240-B Loi)!

<18-07-2020> C1240-B Loi (F), around four years old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 22nd July 2016, after a call from Ms. Lou informing that she wanted to abandon her nine cats. She ended up deciding to abandon the five most active cats promising to find a good home for the others. C1239-Handsome, C1240-B Loi, C1241-Playful, C1242-Fei Mui and C1243-Pineapple were then sent to our Cat’s Paradise. Lately, C1240-B Loi had been struggling with kidney problems. Today, in view of the health deterioration and unfavorable prognosis given by the veterinary doctors, B Loi had to be euthanized. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! <13-07-2020> H039-Watermelon was rescued by Anima on 28th January 2020 from a youngster Kenji, who claimed to have 28 hamsters and had mixed the males and females together.
