Anima-September Rescue (C2624-C2634)!

<11-09-2021> C2624-Alicia (F), C2625-Vargas (F), C2626-Mariko (F), C2627-Morass (F), C2628-Diablo (M), C2629-Flying Tiger (M), C2630-Falcon (M), C2631-Largo (M), C2632-Zola (M), C2633-Beetle (M) and C2634-Tyrant (M), all kittens around six weeks old, were rescued by Anima on 11th September, 2021. The rescue happened after a call from Ms. Chan, who reported to have found the kittens abandoned in a cardboard box at Fortaleza do Monte. They were firstly sent by our team to a clinic for a check-up, as some of them seemed to be struggling to breath. After consultation, all were welcomed into Cats’ Paradise. Anima-September Sad News (2389-Hac Chai)!

<09-09-2021> 2389-Hac Chai (M), a 10-year-old dog, was rescued by Anima on 15th August 2021, after having been found by a member of our staff trapped in an open sewage channel in Coloane. Hac Chai was found very weak, and his ears were rotten with maggots. We were able to find the owner who reported that Hac Chai had been disappeared for five days. He needed urgent care and Anima agreed to support part of the vet bills, as the owner claimed to be unable to afford them. Hac Chai has been hospitalized in a clinic under treatment. Unfortunately, after being discharged, 2389-Hac Chai passed away. According to a vet, infection on the wound and other issues might had damage some neurons responsible for vital functions. Anima-September Rescue (C2621, C2622, C2623)!

<09-09-2021> Three siblings of C2620-Miley, named C2621-Matilda (F), C2622-Melina (F) and C2623-Mani (M), all around one month old, were rescued by Anima on 9th September 2021, after another call for help from Ms. Teresa. According to Ms. Teresa, the mother cat has been living near her building for a while and she frequently wandered on the high wall for a rest. C2368-Lazaro was rescued from the same area by Anima on 6th July 2020, C2555-Lollipop was rescued from the same place by Anima on 21st March 2021 and C2620-Miley, the last one, was rescued on 30th August 2021. Ms. Teresa also mentioned that the mother gets pregnant multiple times. We believed that the mother still needs to be neutered. Anima can help by providing sterilization for the mother afterwards and return her back to the former place. C2621-Matilda, C2622-Melina and C2623-Mani are now welcome to our Cat’s Paradise. Anima–August Rescue (2392, 2393, 2394)!

<28-08-2021> An injured mommy dog and its two puppies were rescued by Anima! 2392-SuperGirl (F), around two years old, as well as 2393-Peter Pan (M) and 2394-Iron Man (M), both one day old, were rescued on 28th August, 2021. At around 1:15pm, Anima received a call from Mr. Lingkhim, a security guard, reporting to be hearing puppies in the bushes of Cemitério da Nossa Senhora da Piedade. According to Mr. Lingkhim, a colleague has informed him that a mother dog was seen in the Cemetery in the morning with a severe injury on the ear, producing a strong smell. Our rescue team was dispatched to the site and, at first, only managed to find and rescue one new-born puppy (2393-Peter Pan). Anima–August Rescue (C2617, C2618)!

<21-08-2021> C2617-Sophia (F) and C2618-Lyndia (F), two kittens around three weeks old, were rescued by Anima on the 21st August, 2021. We received a warning call from Ms. Soon reporting that two kittens were found laying on the road between Largo Tam Kong Miu and Rua do Estaleiro. They were found apart from each other and were meowing while breathing with their mouth. Ms. Soon suspected that they suffered a heat stroke, as their body temperature was very high. Our team was mobilized immediately and, after a first assistance in our shelter, they were taken to clinic where they stayed hospitalized for special care and milk feeding. Anima–August Rescue (2391-Guia)!

<19-08-2021> 2391-Guia (M), around one and a half year old, was rescued by Anima on 19th August 2021, after receiving a Facebook message from Mr. Johnson reporting that there was an injured dog with a big wound on the head running around in the trail of Guia. He asked our help. After several tries the dog escaped into the bushes in the mountain. IAM was also searching the area as someone contacted them, too. Their staff manage to catch him and 2391-Guia was transferred to Anima when arrived in Macau Kennel. The wound got worse and Guia needed to go to a clinic. According to the vet, he needs to stay for a while to have appropriate treatment. Hope e gets better soon to come back to our Dogs’ Shelter! Thanks, everyone and IAM for the cooperation! Anima-August Rescue (C2607-Millennium)!

<14-08-2021> C2607-Millennium (F), a cat around one and a half years old, was rescued by Anima on 14th August 2021, following a call from Mr. Kuan reporting that while passing by Avenida de Horta e Costa he found an injured cat at San Mui supermarket entry. Our team was dispatched immediately and Millennium was found with blood on her mouth, nose and left eye. She has no microchip and was sent to a clinic immediately. Between several health issues, Millennium was dehydrated, has a pelvis fracture and both her upper and lower jaw are broken. Her eye has conjunctival swelling and right hind leg has a deep open wound. She will remain hospitalized and will be subjected to surgery as soon as her condition stabilizes. Anima-Campaign #SaveAnima

<09-08-2021> We'll have no funds at the end of this month! Our budget for 2021 was approved to round 10.7 million patacas. However, we have received from Macau Foundation 4.5 million patacas and 500,000 will only be provided in the beginning of next year. We have asked casinos for support but up to now we still didn’t receive any answer. We need to find at least around 4 million patacas to survive until we are capable to generate other funds to pay our budget expenses! For next month of September we may need around 800 thousand patacas! We have around 400 dogs in our Dogs' Shelter and around 300 cats in our Cats' Paradise! Plus, over 500 dogs and cats living out of our shelters, under Anima's Special Protection Program (SPP). Anima–August Rescue (C2601, C2602)!

<08-08-2021> C2601-Alyssa (F) and C2602-Kristoff (M), both around one month old, were rescued by Anima on 8th August 2021, after a call from Mrs. Chiu reporting that some kittens were wandering in Ilha Verde. We were also informed that one of them, a sibling of Alyssa and Kristoff, has sadly been killed by dogs in the area recently. The mother of the cats was never seen.
