<27-07-2021> Today, we were visited by 18 people, of which 9 were from the 12th Macau Scout Group! The scouts gave us a helpful hand with nine members volunteering at our Cats’ Paradise. Thank you for your visit and support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! Anima-New SPP dogs (from SPP2380 to SPP2388)!

<26-07-2021> Nine dogs were registered under our Special Protection Program (SPP) today: SPP2380-Dong Dong (F), around three years old; SPP2381-Michael (M), around six years old; SPP2382-Runny Nose (M), SPP2383-Lubby (F), SPP2384-Paco (F), SPP2385-Happy (F) and SPP2386-MiMi (F), all around one year old; as well as SPP2387-Billy (M), four years old and SPP2388-Chung Chung (F), 17 years old. We received a call from the owner of the dogs, Mr. Io, seeking our help as he has lost his job in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is struggling to take care of them. Runny Nose, Lubby, Paco Happy, and MiMi were born by the mother Dong Dong and father Michael (F) in June, 2020. These seven are of Cane Corso bread, an intelligent, active, independent breed which demands a certain care, as they can grow up to be 60 Kg. Anima–July Rescue (C2600-Ballon)!

<25-07-2021> C2600-Ballon (M), a cat around one and a half years old, was rescued by Anima on 25th July, 2021. Anima was contacted by CPSP at 4:18am reporting that a cat had fallen from a high-rise window into a balcony at ‘The Residencia Macau’. Ballon was rescued by our team in critical condition and immediately sent to a clinic. X-Ray results revealed internal bleeding and a spleen rupture. Sadly, he would pass away in the clinic at 10:05am. R.I.P.! The owner recognized the cat and confirmed he fell out from an open window in her house. The body of C2600-Ballon was collected by IAM for autopsy to determine the cause, mode and manner of death. The owner was punished by a fine in accordance with the Animal Protection Law of Macau. Anima–July Sad News (SPP2377-Kururu)!

<20-07-2021> SPP2377-Kururu (M), a dog around two years old, is under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 27th June 2021. He is living under Mr. Cheong’s responsibility in a Ka-Ho Workshop. Kururu suffers from severe conjunctivitis, and he was sent to a clinic by our team. Recently, SPP2377-Kururu have been hospitalized due to the swelling of his eyes. According to the vet, it might be cancer, but he is too weak for chemotherapy. Unfortunately, despite all medical discussions and our efforts to keep him alive, SPP2377-Kururu passed away. His body will be delivered in IAM. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! <20-07-2021> C2598-Tinky (F) and C2599-Dipsy, both around two years old, were rescued by Anima on 20th July 2021, after received a call from IAM referring that they have no space for more cats. Both, C2598-Tinky (F) and C2599-Dipsy were welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Thanks, IAM! Please help us to help them! If you want us to help them, you must help us adopting or fostering! <18-07-2021> Today, we were visited by 浪。籽, a volunteer group who donated MOP7,000 to Anima on the 4th of July 2021. The amount was given for the purchase of defleas and deworm products to our animals. All products arrived at our Cats’ Paradise! <17-07-2021> Today, we were visited by 42 people, of which 19 volunteers were from Melco Resorts & Entertainment Group on a visit to our Dogs' Shelter. Anima–July Sad News (C2594-Romeo)!

<13-07-2021> C2594-Romeo (M), around four years old, was rescued by Anima on 12th July 2021, after received a call from Ms. Santos reporting that she saw a cat, C2594-Romeo lying on the road at Beco do Tabaco and he was unable to move. She placed C2594-Romeo inside a carton box and asked us to help. C2594-Romeo was immediately sent to a clinic for consultation. Blood Test was done, and results revealed that he has an acute renal failure. According to the vet, there are many causes of it in dogs and cats, including bacterial or viral infection, toxins or poisons, cancer, crystal, or stone formation within the kidneys. C2594-Romeo also has a poor prognosis. Hospitalization with intensive fluid therapy is required, so. He will be hospitalized in the clinic under medical care. Thanks, Ms. Santos! R.I.P. our friend!
